I just received my first of many facials to come, from “my spa joy.” The business is located inside a house in the heights, with ample street parking. The parking situation did worry me initially, as I am not great at parallel parking, but I was able to get a spot directly in front of the house. They also have a driveway if you can’t find any street parking. Before I entered, they sent me a text welcoming me. I did have to fill out a form as a new client but it was pretty quick and standard. While I was filling it out, I was offered a mimosa and then escorted to a more relaxed room. My esthetician, Angela, then welcomed me into a private room and listened to my concerns first, and then evaluated my face and even recommended products based on my skin findings. I got the glymed+signature facial, and was so relaxed throughout the whole thing, I fell asleep. She even massaged my shoulders and neck during my facial and that’s probably what made me drift into a nice nap. I will definitely be re-booking in 1 month, as I do believe I’ve found my new home for facials!...more
