Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Half Back.

Before your Half Back appointment, ensure hair is about 1/4 inch long, gently exfoliate 24–48 hours prior, avoid sun exposure and heavy moisturizers, and skip retinoids or strong acids for a few days. Arrive clean and wear loose clothing.

Results typically last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth, hormones, and aftercare. Regular waxing can make regrowth finer and sparser over time. Schedule touch-ups every four to six weeks to maintain consistent smoothness.

Some discomfort is expected, especially on sensitive skin, but treatments are quick. To reduce pain, avoid caffeine, stay hydrated, and consider an over-the-counter pain reliever 30–60 minutes before your visit. Numbing creams are available on request.

Avoid waxing if you have sunburn, open wounds, active skin infections, or recent chemical peels. Inform us about medications such as isotretinoin or blood thinners, or if you are pregnant. Our esthetician will assess and recommend alternatives if needed.

After waxing, avoid hot showers, saunas, heavy exercise, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe, and exfoliate lightly after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. Keep the area clean and wear loose clothing.

Plan maintenance appointments every four to six weeks, adjusting based on your personal regrowth cycle. Consistent scheduling encourages finer regrowth and easier sessions. Book online or consult our staff for a personalized plan to meet your goals.
